About the Club

Cambridge International Club was founded in 1932 with the aim of promoting friendship between people of all nations.

We are non-political, non-religious, non-profit making and open to all – visitors always welcome. So if you are studying English at one of the language schools, studying anything at one of the Universities, working here, just passing through or if you have lived here all your life you are most welcome to join us.

We organise a full programme of regular and one off social events in and around Cambridge throughout the year, details of which are given on our other pages.

Membership

Membership costs ₤8 for a year (₤2.00 for three months).
Visitors and non-members are welcome at all events, but will be asked to pay an additional 50 pence at any event where there is a charge.

NEWS

Cambridge International Club Reunion Party with International Folk Dancing

Following the successful “end of an era party” last year to mark the end of regular International Folk Dancing in St. Columba’s Halls, which turned out to be an enjoyable reunion of many past members of the club, not just dancers, we are trying to arrange a repeat this September.

We have provisionally booked St. Columba’s Church Hall for Monday 24th September 2018

[It has been suggested that some might prefer a Saturday, but roads, parking and B&Bs will be more crowded on a Saturday. The hall might be free on 22nd September but unless there is strong support for a change we’ll be sticking to Monday 24th ]

Please let Pat know if you would like to be informed of more details as they become available.

(138 Milton Road, Cambridge CB4 1LE, tel 01223 364557 or patrick.schicker@btinternet.com)

For dancers, if you remember a favourite dance you’d like to do let Pat know so he can inform the band. (last year some dances were asked for which we hadn’t done since the band was formed!)

If you are in touch with past members of Cambridge International Club who may not be on our list please pass this message on to them,

Watch this space for other events arranged at short notice!
